I've always wanted to write this article but too lazy to write. My blogs are mostly focus on Taoist Sorcery and Winning The Lottery, but I think this topic is equally important.
Many Buddhist and Hindu websites have the same related artcles but I feel it is my duty to write it as well, because it had happened to people around me.
In Buddhism, children are born from four causes: repaying past kindness; repaying past wrongs; repaying past debts, claiming past debts. Without past life karma between souls, children won't be born into the family.
Taoism has it's own explanation of Karma between Parents and Child. Many Westerners and even many of the Chinese Folks don't know. - This topic will be an article by itself. *Updated - The Taoist Version Of KARMA - “Cheng Fu” (承负).
Many soon-to-be parents will always imagine the scenrio of joy and happiness that their soon-to-be-born child would bring into the family. Most of the time, most children born into their respective families are easy to raise and grow up to be normal adults and take care of their old parents in return. This is not the topic of discussion.... Below is the important topic.
THE LIVING HELL ON EARTH
Base on True Life Story: The daughter was born. During her childhood , she always throw temper tantrums. She always demand her ways until she had her demands satisfied.
During Teenage years, if she suffered from bad mood from her outside life, she would vent anger at home.... and also She would suddenly explode into a rage out of no specific reasons. "Peace at home" is only occasional luxury.
When being disrespectful to parents, mother would cane her, which in turn, feeling hatred towards parents even more and it became "evil cycle" of more caning and more hatred.
When in her 20s, she was dianosed with cancer. Her parents had to spend huge amount of money on her hospitalization bills. It dragged into her 30s and finally she passed away. Drying up the savings of the living parents and family members.
Long Term Peace was finally achieved at home for her living family.
However, the KARMIC DEBT is still not yet over!
In Chinese Culture, parents would not pray to their dead children. Therefore, they need the younger siblings to pray (with food offering and Joss Papers) to their late sister during Qing Ming Festival, Chinese Hungry Ghost Festival and also on her Day Of Death. Not just that, the living parents will personally, verbally, do Buddhist Chanting Prayer or Taoist Chanting Prayer every day and night and "transfer of merit" (迴向) mentally to the deceased "Karmic Debt Collecting" Child, hoping that he / she would lessen his / her suffering down in hell / underworld or a better rebirth.
If the living siblings do not want to pray or pray on parents be-half, due to the "living hell" she had created at home , parents will be hurt emotionally and worry how the late daughter is suffering in hell / underworld .
Conclusion: Karmic Debt is scary. What the living parents have owed to the child in previous life, have to continue to repay even when the child has pass-away, until the living parents pass away.
Debt Collecting "Ghost" (讨债鬼) will suck You dry emotionally, physically, mentally and financially until the day the child has pass away.
