- Hoping for Baby Boy, pray and offer White Flowers. White flowers represent Yang Energy. After offering this to Zhu Sheng Niang Niang, she will get the message and bless You accordingly.
- Hoping for Baby Girl, pray and offer Red Flowers. Red flowers represent Yin Energy. After offering this to Zhu Sheng Niang Niang, she will get the message and bless You accordingly.
- Hoping of either sex of baby, just pray to Zhu Sheng Niang Niang (注生娘娘) and say You wish for a baby.
